**Chief of Staff**
Location: Italy
**This is what you will do**:
The Chief of Staff leads planning, organization, and execution of all Italian Leadership Team (LT) related events and deliverables in collaboration with the General Manager (GM), the management team and the executive assistant.
Cross functional coordination across Italy is essential.
The incumbent ensures links to regional teams in headquarters in Zürich and global teams in headquarters in Boston to optimize Italian organizational impact on strategies, plans and execution to the ultimate benefit of patients.
The role reports to the General Manager & Vice President, Italy.

**You will be responsible for**:
- Leads planning, organization, and execution of all Italian Leadership Team (LT) related events and deliverables in collaboration with the General Manager, The LT and the executive assistant.
- Deliverables range from LT-meetings, business reviews to national meetings as well as strategic projects for the whole Italian organization.
- Deliverables range from Long Range Plan (LRP), Annual Operating Plan (AOP incl.
budget), regular updates to sales forecast and reporting on a monthly basis as well as ad hoc if needed, and build a relevant cross-organizational Italy dashboard with the support of Commercial operation team
- Regularly monitor competitive intelligence and KPIs related to cross-functional execution
- Close collaboration and partnership with the LT and the Communication department, incl.
support in townhalls and major communication events.
- Partner with external engagement experts: GM, Government affairs, Market Access, Patient Advocacy and Communications - to build a good platform for the Alexion external agreement agenda
- Leads activities related to Trade Associations ( eg Assobiotec, Farmindustria).
- Support Organismo di Vigilanza follow up activities in collaboration with Finance Director
- Work closely with the Head of Commercial in ensuring the relevant updates to LT
- Strong link to People & Culture lead and team as well as Communication lead about the local country culture initiatives
- Strong link to Finance for all planning and budget related matters
- Managing cross-functional project teams, keeping stakeholders on target with clearly communicated and agreed milestones
- Cooperation with the relevant internal departments such as e.g.
Compliance, Regulatory, Quality, Legal and internal stakeholders in the Italian affiliate and International/Global Headquarters.
- Accountable for monitoring allocated budget for all projects.
- May be asked to perform other functional activities in addition to the above-mentioned responsibilities as reasonably required by business needs
- Strong player and driver in all transformation projects
**You will need to have**:
- This incumbent must have a good mix of experience, either from a consultant back-ground or from significant experience inside the pharma or bio-tech industry.
We are looking for a person with potential and aspiration to grow inside Alexion
- Minimum of 10 years of working experience in biopharma industry, pharma or even in orphan drugs or specialty markets alternatively consulting.
- Prior experience leading larger projects and strategy work.
- Demonstrated experience in overlooking budgets (both cost and sales)
- Good informal leadership/influence capabilities
- Good negotiation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills required
- Must be very strong in power-point presentation building and minimum a very good Excel-user
- Trust and transparency with LT are very important values for the position holder.

- Bachelor's degree in business and/or scientific field.
- Fluent in local market language (Italian) and English, written and oral
