With 44 plants across 17 countries in Europe, our client is one of the largest European manufacturers of packaging. For the European Shared Service Centres organization, we are looking for a Chief Accountant Supervisor . The position will be part of the SSC Italy & Greece and will be based in Parma (Italy).
The Chief Accountant Supervisor reports to the Finance Accounting Manager; he/she monitors the daily processes of the SSC, in compliance with the generally accepted accounting principles (IFRS), the Italian accounting principles, and the corporate rules (CFAP) for the client companies and for the SSC Italia. The Chief Accountant Supervisor interfaces with the CFO, C&C Manager, and other administrative departments of the SSC. He/she is part of the General Accounting team.
Responsibilities Continuous updating on the fulfillment of Italian civil and fiscal regulations. Monitoring of the verification of the various accounts in compliance with the Italian OIC rules, in collaboration with the CFOs, the establishments, and the various services of the SSC. Preparation of journal entries and monthly adjustments, supported by the necessary documentation and appropriate descriptions. Support to the staff of the independent auditors (Pwc) in accounting audits according to the OIC and IFRS principles. Support to the F&A Manager and CFO in preparing the statutory financial statements and related tax documents relating to the companies served by the SSC. Support in the preparation of legal documents, including corporate books, in coordination with legal advisors. Sending Chamber of Commerce communications: filling in financial statements, corporate offices, creations, changes, and terminations of activities, download of company records, etc. Sending communications to the Revenue Agency on behalf of the financial company of the group in accordance with Italian tax legislation: LIBRA & CIA communications. Preparation of LIPE communications, sending and reconciling monthly data to the SDI, INTRASTAT and support in the preparation of the group's VAT and CU declaration. Control and preparation of declarations of intent for VAT exemption. Requirements Has 3 years of experience in a similar position or in an accountancy firm. Speaks fluent Italian and a good level of English. Relevant University degree will be a plus. Location: Parma (Italy)
