Chief Accountant / Months Contract/

Job Description:For our new company, we are looking for a strong professional who will be responsible for a 360 view of the financial activities of the country, starting with accounting and expanding to all fields of finance. The position reports to a Finance manager based in Italy, with a dotted line to the country manager within the country. The geographic scope of the job covers Italy.Responsibilities:General / Statutory AccountingResponsible for complete and accurate financial statements (P&L and Balance Sheet)Provide monthly balance sheet reconciliationsSupport the annual conversion of US GAAP accounting to ensure local statutory complianceV.A.T reporting and filingUS GAAP and Statutory GAAP reconciliationPosts the statutory entries into the GLAnnual Report preparationE&Y audit preparationCIT return preparationImplement and follow up on Finance Policies and ProceduresNon-Trade Accounts Payable:Verify and code the supplier invoicesMonitor the payment process (payment takes place in the USA)Single Point of contact for communication with the Headquarter finance team (in Buffalo USA) to resolve any transactional issues or reconciliation gapsMiscellaneous:Support the country managers on ad-hoc financial requestsAct as a business partner to the operations management teamRequirements:Education: Degree in accounting (D.E.C.F level required)Experience and Knowledge:Minimum 6 years work experience in accountingExperience in VATExperience in Annual report preparationExperience in auditPersonal Attributes: Good communication skills including local and English language proficiency; Strong ability to work independently; Willing and capable to take initiatives, positive attitudeAdditional Information:Posting Date: 2024-04-22FedEx Logistics provides freight forwarding, as well as import and export services that allow companies to reach markets throughout the world.
