THE ROLE You would be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where experts in engineering, robotics and medicine collaborate, each with their own expertise, to carry out common research.
Center for Sustainable Future Technologies at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT), is seeking to appoint a II level (junior) technician that will have a key role on monitoring and implementing the activities necessary for the successful completion of the Technologies for Sustainability Flagship project, in particular in "Project 1 - Sustainable Energy Technologies".
In particular, the activity will include:
Supporting the Principal Investigators and the Researchers of CSFT for the implementation of Technologies for Sustainability Flagship project (laboratory management, instruments technical requirements, procurement, installation)Monitoring the technical advancement of the project and providing periodic technical reportsSupporting the operation of laboratories involved in the project, taking care (among others) of:the maintenance furniture and lab equipment (chemical hoods, pumping systems)provide support to external maintenance personnelthe inventory and related cataloguingthe laboratory gas supplyESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS MSc in chemistry, chemical engineering, material science, material engineering, or equivalent degreewelcome previous experience in lab implementation and/or technical managementCOMPENSATION PACKAGE Competitive salary package for international standardsPrivate health care coverageWide range of staff discountsFlexible working timeCandidates from abroad or Italian citizens who have carried scientific research activity permanently abroad and meet specific requirements, may be entitled to a deduction from taxable income of up to 90% from 6 to 13 years.
