Responsibilities: The business function Product Stewardship ensures that our products are safe for humans and the environment. It provides expert advice and support to business units in complying with regulatory requirements, including critical topics such as European legislation on food and drinking water contact.
Product Steward and primary contact for various business lines in the division Engineered Materials: Regulatory tracking with a focus on European legislation. Supporting the Celanese business in assessing changes and their impact on compliance with regulations. Supporting customers' requests for statements of compliance. Carrying out assessments for critical topics and sensitive end-uses like compliance with the European Food Contact Regulations. Coordinating and assessing migration tests related to EU Food Contact compliance as needed. Providing support to test institutes whenever testing is requested by our customers. Conducting product risk management (PRM) in order to guarantee business continuity or address compliance questions related to business opportunities. Subject matter expert for European Drinking Water (DW) contact regulations: Supporting customers in their requests for European DW contact approvals for Celanese products globally. Working with test institutes on obtaining/renewing DW contact approvals. Actively participating in European trade groups for information tracking and active advocacy on European legislation in this area. Qualifications: University Degree in chemistry or related field (Diploma or Master). Regulatory knowledge and/or job experience (e.g., food contact, drinking water, chemical inventories) would be beneficial. Basic knowledge about polymers desirable. Knowledge in SAP EHS desirable. Team spirit and ability to work internationally. Excellent communication skills and business-oriented attitude. User skills in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
