For this iconic hotel, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Chef de Rang to join our team.
The ideal candidate is willing to provide authentic experiences in a world-renowned destination to our guests, demonstrating care, confidence, curiosity, and community.
Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, he/she will have experience working in fine dining and/or luxury restaurant environments, and will display great passion for food, beverages, and wines, along with luxury service.
The position is based in Porto Cervo, Costa Smeralda, Sardinia and the contract is permanent and full time.
You must possess the legal right to work in Italy/EU.
WHAT YOU WILL DO Engage with guests and deliver memorable and enchanting bar experiences. Fulfil any requested operation including assisting with restaurant preparation, table setups, and service on the floor, mise-en-place, and cleaning. Respect the Belmond standards, policies, and procedures, while observing all safety and hygiene directions so that they are met at all times. Establish and maintain a polite and caring relationship with all guests while handling their requests and enquiries. Work closely with the Restaurant team to ensure the best service is always delivered. Requirements We are looking for a genuinely enthusiastic personality, professional with the highest standard of presentation, and ability to work as part of a team. This is a fast-paced environment that suits a friendly and outgoing personality.
As a Chef de Rang, you will be working on shifts, including weekends and bank holidays; therefore, flexibility is required.
You will have:
Previous restaurant experience in a similar role and in a high standard hospitality establishment with good knowledge on fine service. A hospitality degree or equivalent, with thorough knowledge of restaurant techniques and trends. The ability to politely communicate with guests in the luxury market to meet their individual needs. A dynamic and curious personality that exhibits a passion for excellence. Superb communication and interpersonal skills. Fluency in Italian and English. An additional European language would be highly appreciated.
