Champion Coach is seeking a highly qualified Sports Transportation and Logistics Manager. This position is responsible for the timely and accurate scheduling of drivers and vehicles for collegiate and professional sports teams, tours, and charters while safely meeting DOT FMCSA safety requirements. Candidates must possess excellent communication and computer skills (dispatch and internal operations software), be multi-task oriented, and enjoy a fast-paced work environment. The Sports Transportation and Logistics Manager provides direction and support to ensure both internal and external customer needs and requirements are met.
Responsibilities: Accurately utilizes drivers and vehicles to ensure traveler's preferences are satisfied.Ensures quality of service, driver and vehicle availability.Monitors drivers to ensure preparedness (uniforms, keys, maps, itineraries, rest, wellness, etc.)Reviews itinerary details for accuracy.Responds to phone calls and emails in a timely manner.Monitors and organizes time off schedules.Promotes driver safety and safe workplace performance.Evaluates driver performance and compliance.Provides reporting and analysis for accurate planning.Reports all accidents immediately to the Safety Manager.Reports all vehicle issues as soon as possible to the Maintenance Supervisor.Keeps accurate records, monitors drivers in relation to their remaining hours of service and equipment availability.Assists the Safety Department with FMCSA requirements and Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.Evaluates the effectiveness of current operations to ensure cost management and efficiency.Qualifications: Bachelor's or Associate's degree.Proficient with basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other software.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work well with others and must be considerate.Extremely knowledgeable in destination geography, including expedient, cost-effective, and preferred travel routes.Familiarity with online booking tools is a plus.Online Application – Sports Transportation and Logistics Manager Name * First LastEmail *Address * Street Address City State / Province / Region ZIP / Postal CodeLinkedIn ProfileBest telephone number to reach you? *How far are you from our primary location in Greenville, SC? *Are you willing to relocate if necessary for this position?Upload Resume Accepted file types: pdf, Max. file size: 512 MB.
