For our client, multinational operating in the chemical sector, we are looking for a:
Chief Financial Officer
- Providing leadership, direction and management of the finance and accounting team
- Maintain financial Group policies and procedures for the company
- Manage all administrative activities (general accounting, accounts payable and receivable, etc
- Supervisor of statutory and tax compliance
- Manage all activities concerning Treasury
- Providing financial reports and interpreting financial information to GM while recommending further courses of action
- Analyse costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company's actual performance compared to the business plan
- Manage the preparation of the company's budget (WP and 5YP)
- Managing the process for financial forecasting and budgets, and overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting
- Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the company's operations
- Cash pooling management in accordance with headquarter policy
- Analyze Opex gap and Profit & Loss per Department/Business Unit/Channel
- Analyze Customer portfolio (GM, product mix, payments, etc.
)
- Liase with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained
- Correspond with other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future path to be taken
- Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met
- Contract outside services for tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial needs as necessary
- Seek out methods for minimising financial risk to the company
- Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports
- Present financial reports to board members, stakeholders, and executives
- Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation
**Skills**
- Proven experience as a Financial Manager (> 7 years)
- Experience in the financial sector with previous possible roles such as financial analyst
- Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns
- Proficient user of finance software (e.g.
SAP)
- Understanding of data privacy standards
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Able to manage, guide ad lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used
- A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
- Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
- BS/MA degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
- Professional qualification such as a CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus
- Multi-tasking abilities
- Problem-solving skills
