ROLE: Process Engineering Manager - Battery Cell Assembly
Location: Italy Are you ready to be a key player in Europe's energetic transition? Piper Maddox is partnered up with a leading company, building a state-of-the-art Gigafactory in Southern Europe to produce cells, modules, and battery packs for Energy Storage, Industrial, and Special applications.
They are now looking for a Process Engineering Manager to take full ownership of the Cell Assembly team. This is your chance to be part of a pivotal project in the European lithium battery value chain.
In this role you will:
Define and approve equipment and process specifications aligned with cell design requirements. Source and evaluate suppliers for cell assembly equipment. Lead project phases, ensuring successful execution, documentation, and team collaboration. Hire and scale your own team to 10-12 people. REQUIREMENTS:
Degree in Mechanical and/or Automation Engineering. 4+ years of industry experience in equipment building and manufacturing processes. Ideally batteries or automotive. Background in Semiconductor, electronics, high-speed assembly with automation experience such as tobacco or pharma also considered. Team leadership of 5+ direct reports, with proven ability in team building, time management, and leading R&D projects.
