Essential Responsibilities:
The Catalyst Engine System Engineer - Analysis Leader is accountable for coordinating engine level system analyses processes among disciplines – dynamics, TSD, clearances, mission, life management, stress analysis – in strong collaboration with Module Leaders, Systems Integration Leader, and LCE Leader to meet overall product and business requirements. At the module and components level, support Module Leaders for coordination of module level FE Analyses performed by supporting LCE sub-sections.
In this role, she/he:
Manages complex issues within functional areas of expertise, leads short/medium term activities, and is involved in long-term planning contributing to the overall product strategy. Maintains and adapts engine loads analysis and structures FE analyses affecting structures to align with the engine program schedule, resource schedules, and other program constraints. Sets strategy (type, number, and fidelity of analytical models) for Stress & Life analysis that will be followed for design reviews (CDR, PDR, DDR, and VDR) and for certification. Collaborates with Chief Engineering Office and cognizant CTHs on setting optimized analysis and review scope and process. Coordinates engine stress and life analysis process among disciplines - performance, TSD, clearances, mission, life management, stress analysis, dynamics. Establishes and manages a single source of truth and consistent set of loads. Identifies synergies in models and analysis execution among modules. Leverages lessons learned from the certification process, as well as ongoing reviews. Coordinates hot to cold conversion with the module design team and clearances. Coordinates clearances analysis and coordinates among modules. Contributes to establishing a Lean Culture within the Team introducing a Customer-focused standardized Op Rhythm through an integrated plan LOB and operational KPIs for structures analyses work packages. Develops, reviews, and verifies the quality of engineering documents. Collaborates with requirements leader to develop and flow relevant requirements that result in meeting all product-level and certification requirements. Provides technical and program leadership to other personnel and assigned teams; mentors others in the organization and guides challenging decisions. Supports other engineering functions, particularly engine Systems, the Certification Office, Sourcing, Quality, and Manufacturing Programs. Qualifications/Requirements:
This role requires significant experience in Engineering/Technology, with knowledge level comparable to a Bachelor or Master's degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering. Experience in product development of engine systems or modules, preferably in New Product Introduction programs. Knowledge of analyses processes and skills for coordination of engine level analyses processes among disciplines: dynamics, TSD, clearances, life management, stress. Clear thinking and diligent approach. Fluent in English, both written and oral. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. EU work permit. Desired Characteristics:
