Job Description What You'll Do:As a Cashier, you will be at the forefront of our customer service efforts, ensuring each guest has a pleasant and efficient shopping experience.
Your responsibilities will include:Engage with Guests: Engage in friendly conversations, make eye contact, and ensure every guest feels welcome and valued.Efficient Transactions: Scan grocery items, process sales and efficiently, and handle monetary transactions with care.Bagging with Care: As needed, bag items thoughtfully to ensure products reach their destination in the condition they left our store.Stay Informed: Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements to assist guests effectively.Maintain Order: Keep your register station neat and well-stocked with necessary supplies.Communication: Relay guest requests to the Guest Services leadership team as needed to ensure guest satisfaction.Quality Standards: Ensure all quality and quantity standards are met, especially during peak times at 10 am and 5 pm.Teamwork: Perform other duties as needed to support the team.Honor Commitments: Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.What We're Looking For: To excel in the Cashier role at Festival Foods, you should have:Customer Service Skills: Ability to engage with guests and provide outstanding service.Retail Experience: Ability to process information and merchandise transactions and hande cash and media at registers.Communication: Strong ability to communicate effectively with both customers and team members.Accuracy: Ability to read, count, and write accurately to ensure precise transactions.Equipment Operation: Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job.Physical Demands and Work Environment:The physical demands and work environment described below are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
