Offer Description The research activity aims at contributing to the definition and improvement of the territorial knowledge of Friuli-Venezia Giulia by integrating geospatial information of the physical characteristics of the territory, particularly focusing on elements of the rural landscape, including dry stone walls and terraces, hydraulic-agricultural arrangements, and semi-natural elements of the agricultural landscape (e.g., hedges and linear elements).
This will be connected to assessing the risk of water erosion of agricultural soils.
The activity will involve analyzing and developing tools (such as statistical models) useful for defining, mapping, and organizing geo-databases and digital maps of the average annual risk of erosion.
Part of the activities will utilize remote sensing techniques and data as the main investigation method.
Additionally, field data collection activities are planned.
