Call for an Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) in Economics The Department of Economics, Management, and Quantitative Methods, DEMM , is seeking candidates for one Tenure Track Assistant Professor (RTT) in Economics (SECS-P/02).
Starting Gross Salary 44,200€.
Candidates (of any nationality) who have been resident outside Italy for the last 2 years benefit from a six-year tax exemption on 90 percent of their salary (which can be extended up to 13 years).
Duration: up to 6 years.Tenure as Associate Professor will be granted subject to holding the Italian National Qualification as an Associate Professor.
Teaching load: 60 hours per year before tenure.
The starting date is to be mutually agreed upon.
REQUIREMENTS Ph.D.
Degree in Economics, Econometrics, Statistics or related disciplines.
Language requirements: English.
Knowledge of Italian is NOT required when starting, but the successful candidate is expected to acquire a working knowledge of Italian before tenure.
CANDIDATE PROFILE We are looking for candidates with a strong research agenda in any area of Economics.
The ideal candidate is a junior profile with a publication record already displaying an excellent potential.
Candidates will be evaluated based on their CVs, publications, and interviews.
Candidates are expected to conduct independent research at the highest international standards and may be required to teach courses at the undergraduate, master, and Ph.D. levels.
The candidates are expected to participate actively in departmental life and seminars.
