We are seeking a talented and experienced Buyer Senior Specialist to join our team and provide support to the Purchasing Team of Marelli Motorsport department. This position reports directly to the Motorsport Head of Purchasing and it will be preferably located in Corbetta (Milan area), but also Venaria Reale (Turin area) or Bologna sites could be considered.
As Buyer Senior Specialist, you will: Execute Motorsport Purchasing strategy dealing with all procurement activities from request for offer to the purchase order, to the arrival of materials at plant acting as interface between internal customers and external suppliers;Manage RFQ for mechanical parts, managing relationships with existing suppliers and scouting for new potential suppliers with target on costs, quality, project milestones and technical feasibility;Manage BOM costing and valorization activities according to Sales and R&D requests analyzing and suggesting opportunities for cost reduction;Support Head of Purchasing and other internal stakeholders in make or buy analysis;Maintain integrity of the master data and purchasing planning parameters to minimize material liability and to balance the costs;Keep price list updated and prepare ad hoc purchasing weekly (purchase orders) and monthly reports.What you will bring: Engineering or Economics Degree;Very good Italian and fluent English;At least 4 years of professional experience in a similar role inside Automotive, Automation, Mechanical Parts or similar industries;Cost breakdown for the mechanical parts;Knowledge of 2D drawings and material treatments;SAP system knowledge (including basic knowledge of MRP and BOM);Basic knowledge of budgeting process;Sufficient knowledge about legal aspects of procurement contracts;Basic finance knowledge;Supplier panel management experience.Other skills that we would welcome: Ability to handle stress;Able to persuade others using negotiation techniques;Ability to make intuitive and balanced decisions;Attention to detail;Proactive thinker and goal-oriented.What's on offer: Fast-paced yet supportive and high-performing international team with an inspiring ambition to transform the future of mobility.Be part of a stimulating new project just at the heart of Motorsport's most ambitious championships.Develop technicalities as well as soft skills, having the chance to directly interface with the customers.Flexible working hours and great chance to learn.About Us: We are one of the world's leading global independent suppliers to the automotive sector, with about 50,000 employees worldwide.
