**MISSION**
Reporting directly to Purchasing Manager is responsible for planning, selecting and buying the required product and making contract negotiations with the major suppliers. Support the BU to reach the targets in terms of competitiveness, time to market, new project development, supply base growth, and rationalization.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Support the definition of the global commodity strategies to optimize the supply base in terms of quality, efficiency, and technology state of the art
- Manages the assigned perimeter gaining a deep understanding of the supply market and fostering innovation input from suppliers to promote it into the organization
- Ensure the sourcing of new components for the assigned perimeter
- Control and supervise the price of materials and components from its suppliers
- Collaborates for the development of supplier list, intervening in the analysis of markets (national and international) to find more favorable supply opportunities
- Support the key strategic supplier partnership and ensures that all the Procurement related risks are controlled and mitigated
- Manage the relationship into a multi-functional team of specialists (e.g. supplier quality and local procurement specialist) and communicate with sales and Production manager about their requirements
- Supports SCM and Procurement in ensuring the stable supply of required materials and communicating any possible supplier problem that can pose at risk the production continuity
- Develop the supply base in terms of operational KPI (OTD and service level to the production Plants)
- Responsible for the assigned budget
- Build and monitor the implementation of purchasing strategies
**REQUIRED SKILLS**
- Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering is preferred;
- Experience in a similar role;
- Knowledge of casting parts is a Plus;
- Strong leadership and effective communication skills;
- Fluent in English
