The role reports to the BU Financial Director and provides a valuable learning opportunity to anyone wanting to further develop their career by gaining exposure at a Business Unit and EMEA level.As BU Finance Controller, you will ensure accurate financial representation for the Business Unit by consolidating financials for plant budgets, actuals, and forecasts.
You will ensure monthly results are understood from a business perspective, oversee internal audits, and ensure compliance with CSA and SOX requirements.
This role offers the chance to drive strategic initiatives and significantly impact the BU's financial success.Principal AccountabilitiesMember of senior team providing insight and analysis to drive the value and success of the businessLead the management reporting activities in the BU, supporting plants in monthly reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
Develop the use and accuracy of such tools as SAP, HFM, QlikView ExcelConsolidation of BU results and providing consolidated view to BU ManagementEnsure that the plants in the BU are up to speed with requirements for the Quarterly and FY statutory close processes, including reconciliations and other related activities as appropriateLead the annual BU the Balance Sheet review processOversee and champion the CSA process for the BU.
Ensure good governance and effective Internal Controls (CSA, SOX, Amcor Policies etc.)
are in place and maintainedAssist plant Finance Managers in developing and delivering projects or routine activities on an ad-hoc basisHelp in reviewing of Capital Expenditure projects and managing the overall Capex budgetWork alongside the commercial and sales teams and across the BG and BU to ensure the development and understanding of plant, product and customer profitability on a consistent basisQualifications/RequirementsFormal Qualifications and ExperienceUniversity degree with financially defined contents (Accounting, Controlling, Business Administration), could be supplemented with further education at an international business university or qualified accountantMinimum of 5 years' experience in a Finance leadership role within a manufacturing environmentSolid knowledge of IFRS/US GAAP to help plants on an ad hoc basisUnderstanding of a good internal control environmentExperience in a packaging plant, ideally having overseen finance departmentGood IT skills, in particular a good working knowledge of HFM, and MS Office; experience of various ERP (SAP) systems useful when working with plants and experience of working with various databases will be usefulSpecific Skills And AbilitiesStrong and solid background from overall finance managementCollaborative team-orientated leadership styleSufficient legal (accounting, tax, overall business) understanding and knowledge to support the business requirementsHigh degree of AccuracyDemonstrated ability to deliver results, with a strong track record of performance.
