The position holder will coordinate and control a full range of business support services specifically for training events preparation and coordination, ensuring effective delivery of services.
The Business Support Associate will supervise two team members, manage training requests, schedules, and plans, ensure a smooth experience for clients/partners, and serve as the focal point for any queries or issues related to training events.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:Provide dedicated support for the planning and coordination of training events at the Brindisi site.Manage the training requests, schedule, plan, and prepare for training events, ensuring a smooth experience for clients and partners.Assist managers in planning, monitoring, and reconciling budget(s) for training events to ensure effective use of financial resources.Respond to complex business support queries or issues related to training events to provide timely, effective, and accurate resolutions for clients.Prepare and/or consolidate comprehensive reports, documentation, correspondence, briefing notes, etc.Actively seek and use feedback to improve business processes and procedures related to training events coordination and organization in Brindisi.Coordinate tasks of junior colleagues to ensure support services for training events are delivered consistently and to the required standards.Provide training and guidance to staff in interpretation of administrative procedures, policies, processes, and use of corporate systems to ensure consistency and efficiency of services provided to all clients.Other duties as required.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEEducationCompletion of secondary school education.ExperienceMinimum 6 years of progressively responsible experience in event/training coordination or related field.Experience in an international organization is an asset.LanguageProficiency in English and in Italian (level C) is required.
Knowledge of another UN language is an advantage.SPECIFIC ROLE REQUIREMENTSEssentialExcellent customer orientation and service mindset.Proven track record of managing a team successfully.Strong organization and coordination skills, attention to details and record-keeping skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to address and resolve issues effectively and quickly.DesirableExperience with technologies to manage event schedules, registrations, and logistics, communication and collaboration.Excellent data analysis and reporting skills.Ability to prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and engage with stakeholders.TERMS AND CONDITIONSWFP offers a competitive compensation package which will be determined by the contract type and selected candidate's qualifications and experience.

If not residing within commuting distance at the time of application, candidates must be willing to relocate to Brindisi, Italy, at their own cost before taking up the assignment.
WFP shall not be responsible for any costs associated with such relocation nor shall WFP assist or otherwise be involved in obtaining residency status or legal work permits.
