Responsibilities: At ALTEN, a Business Manager is an "entrepreneur", building up his/her own business unit from scratch.
Your success will be measured by your ability to build up a team of 15+ consultants within the first year and keep growing over the years, positioning ALTEN as a key consulting partner in your market.
Concretely, you will have to perform the following:
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENTCreating new business opportunities by prospecting new customers and thinking out of the boxGathering new business leads at actual customersParticipating in the development of business offersSupporting the company to meet its commercial objectivesOptimizing business profitability"Farming" customer relationships with your winning waySupporting our clients in demanding projects through several service offeringsAnalyzing and reporting your business activitiesHUMAN RESOURCESParticipating in the recruitment strategy definition and processContinuously recruit, interview, and match candidates to have already qualified talent ready to meet customer's current and anticipated needsMANAGEMENTAct as a leader to build your own team of consultantsBe in charge of your consultant team's career evolution (Annual review, career committee, trainings)Supervising the financial status of your business activity (P&L)Organizing & coordinating the commercial relationships with your partnersSkills: Master's degree in Business Administration / Economics / Marketing with a good understanding of Information Technology or a degree in Engineering/ Natural Sciences / Pharmacy related with a keen interest in active business developmentBetween 1 and 5 years of professional experience, ideally in business engineering or coordination of technical projectsYou are a good listener, pro-active, persuasive, communicative and have a 'hands-on' mentalityYou are autonomous, can manage your own priorities, but also are a team player keeping focus on the company's interestsYour industry-specific expertise helps you understand the project requirements and identify the technical skillset necessary for targeted customer supportYou have a proven track record of closing new business opportunitiesYou are fluent in Italian and English.We are waiting for you!
