Business Development Project Manager

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION/RESPONSIBILITY:Coordinates proposals, timelines, fee analysis and reporting.Liaise with clients, senior management, operational and sales teams to review proposals preparation and review for PDS opportunities, supports new business requests and manages visits on site from potential new customers.ASSIGNMENTS, SPECIFIC/PRIMARY ACTIVITIES:Comply with GMP requirements and company rules, policies and procedures.
Where applicable, performs job responsibilities in compliance with cGMP and all other regulatory agency requirements.Review proposals prepared by Patheon UK quotation team, based on the costs structure of Patheon Italy and the guidance of the technical teams.Participate in discussions with customers to understand technical aspects of projects, gather adequate level of information or assumptions, and assist in developing adequate scope of work and cost appropriately.
Follow-up as required.Work with Account Executives and Project Managers to promote Patheon, ensure customer satisfaction and meet or adjust project requirements.Prepare data reporting and show share reporting analysis to site leadership team and different levels of organization where needed.Support questions or assessment requests on new enquiries raised by the Sales group.Contribute to continuous improvements within the site presentations and proposal content.Host and manage new customer visits, either virtual or onsite.Handle multiple new customer requests and coordinate follow-up in a timely and effective manner, interacting with site management and technical functions.Facilitate the introduction of new projects, liaising with customers, site leadership and management, operational and sales teams, contributing to SOP and business forecasting process.Carry out, as required, all the responsibilities of PDS Project Manager.Communication:Effectively communicate, internally and externally, with a professional approach to pro-actively influence and persuade to adopt appropriate decisions and recommendations.Escalate issues for discussion and resolution.Promote a positive, professional and pro-active culture within the function.Leadership:Flexibility, multitasking and open-minded attitude is expected to coordinate and lead the work of others resources.Liaising with internal and external parties, there is a requirement for tact and discretion.REQUIREMENTS:Essentials:Education:BA or MS in Chemistry/ Pharmacy/ Biological Sciences or similar.Technical Knowledge:Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and of Internet.Preferably Pharmaceutical Background or Previous Experience in RD CompanyProfessional Experience:2 - 3 years in a technical field or in a related area (Pharmaceutical Development, Clinical Trials Manufacture, Commercial Manufacture, Project Management, Financial Awareness, Customer Contact).Languages:English fluent.Any Other Second Language is Preferred.Personality Traits:Well organized and detail-oriented.Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.Problem solving, decision making, negotiation and influencing capacity.Customer and result orientation.Strong interpersonal and communication skills: active listening, effective message delivery, empathy, proactive attitude.Ability to motivate.Understands quotations process.Represents site interests in negotiations of technical aspects and proposals.
