Business Development – OEM Medical Device Market Location: near Encinitas, CA Salary: $100,000 - $130,000+ (DOE) + Year-End Sales Bonus (Y1 = 5%-15%) + Benefits Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance (w/ Employer Contribution), 401k, Holidays, PTO Job Type: Full-Time | On-site (no remote) Typical Hours: Monday-Friday Travel: 25% primarily domestic, with some international travel Start Date: ASAP Sponsorship is not available Relocation assistance negotiable Job Description Our client, in imaging solutions manufacturing, is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team near Encinitas, CA. You will focus on growing the medical device market by identifying and closing significant business opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth. This role involves close collaboration with sales management and optical experts, developing and executing business plans, and penetrating new markets to achieve company targets. Qualified candidates will have at least three (3) years of customer-facing experience with OEMs or manufacturers, with a technical (mechanical, scientific, or engineering) background, with the ability to understand customer needs and discuss complex solutions for medical device applications. Responsibilities Collaborate with sales and optical engineers to identify business opportunitiesDevelop and execute strategic business plans for revenue growthPenetrate new markets to achieve company targetsProvide market feedback to leadership for product developmentParticipate in trade shows to network and generate sales leadsAct as the interface between customers and manufacturing overseas operations Qualifications Bachelor's degree required3+ years of customer-facing experience with OEMs or manufacturers experience requiredTechnical (mechanical, scientific, or engineering) background requiredAbility/willingness to travel 25% (domestic and internationally) requiredPossess a valid passport or the ability to obtain one upon hire
