GEDI , on behalf of a multinational leader in the space sector with upcoming production facilities in Turin, is seeking a highly qualified BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER.
The successful candidate will support the company's growth through direct client acquisition, participation in international tenders, and by developing relationships with both new and existing clients. The role also involves developing and maintaining a network of agents and importers in key regions. The candidate must have solid experience in space systems, spacecraft, satellites, and interplanetary and scientific missions, with technical expertise in design, manufacturing, integration, testing, and mission phases.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a strong client base, focusing on direct contact and relationship-building with potential clients, and nurturing existing relationships. Participate in international tenders to secure contracts and orders for the company. Build and manage a network of agents/importers in key global regions to expand the companys presence and market reach. Identify new business opportunities in telecommunications, Earth observation, In-Orbit Servicing, In-Orbit Manufacturing, satellite development, minisatellite systems, and interplanetary/scientific missions, commercial space mission. Collaborate with internal technical teams to ensure alignment with customer requirements and successful project execution. Represent the company in international markets, with intensive travel required for direct client engagement and presence in key areas. Preferred Experience:
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in business development within the space sector, including experience in contract acquisition, client relationship management, and participation in international tenders. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of space systems, spacecraft, satellite design, and manufacturing, with expertise in integration, testing, and mission phases, including interplanetary and scientific missions. Agency Experience: Prior experience working with space agencies such as ASI (Agenzia Spaziale Italiana) and/or ESA (European Space Agency) is highly preferred. Role Expertise: Previous experience as a Program Manager or System Engineer in the space industry, and experience with international companies operating on a project/contract basis. Passion: Enthusiastic about technology, space, and innovations in satellite and spacecraft development. Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with ESA regulations and ECSS standards. Education: Degree in Engineering, preferably Aerospace or a related field. Language Skills: Fluent in English (written and spoken). Personal Attributes: High motivation, excellent communication skills, ability to work independently and in a team, with a passion for art, history, museums, and artifact conservation. What We Offer:
