About the role The position focuses on developing the business in the south European Region, specifically to develop strong connections and business with the strategic Chemical, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas and Power Generation markets. This includes: Detailed account mapping of each site including decision makers and other related personnel. Evaluation and appointment of suitable distribution partners. In this role you will be responsible for: Market research, analysis, and identification of local potential clients with a focus on success and overall potential. Identifying and actively acquiring new customers, qualifying, prioritizing accounts and opportunities to produce the best sales and profitability results. Opening, developing, and retaining relationships with clients and distribution partners in our target segments in the region, particularly in oil and gas, chemical, petrochemical, and power generation. Setting comprehensive sales strategies based on turnaround activities and targeted companies. Actively acquiring new customers, performing on-site demos, building relationships at all levels, achieving sales, and following up in after sales, including product training for customers. Maintaining a high awareness of gas leak detection market trends and competition, sharing this information with internal stakeholders. Planning, organizing, and implementing marketing actions, participating in exhibitions and conferences. Collaborating with a multi-functional team based at the Swiss headquarters in Zurich. Ensuring data accuracy, CRM, activity reports, proposals, and shipping instructions. Shaping strategy and proposals towards top management. Regular reporting on activities and business success across countries: Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, and Malta (countries may change depending on market trends). Your profile Electrical, electronic or Chemistry background preferred; further education and experience in Sales & Marketing is a plus. At least 5 years of experience in a similar position in an SMB, selling CAPEX, non-destructive testing devices. Experience in the Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, or Chemistry industry. Proven track record in Sales, Business Development, and Account Management. Distributor management experience. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, autonomously.
