Sales Manager - Industrial Sector (Freight Forwarding)
Location: Flexible across major cities in Italy (Hybrid Working)

Role Overview: This client is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Manager with a strong "hunter" mentality. The ideal candidate will have experience in bringing in new customers, either by leveraging an existing portfolio or through proactive client acquisition. This role is ideal for someone with vertical experience in the industrial sector, project cargo, or the chemical sector, who can drive business growth by securing new clients and expanding market share.
Key Responsibilities:
New Business Development: Actively seek and acquire new customers, focusing on the industrial, project cargo, and chemical sectors.
Client Portfolio Management: Leverage existing relationships and networks to bring in high-value clients and expand the company's customer base.
Sales Strategy: Develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and ensure sustained growth in key verticals.
Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market opportunities to inform business decisions.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including operations and trade lane managers, to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Reporting: Provide regular updates on sales performance, market developments, and client feedback to senior management.
Qualifications:
Experience: Proven track record in sales within the freight forwarding industry, with a focus on the industrial sector, project cargo, or chemical products.
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of ocean freight and/or overland transport solutions.
Sales Acumen: Strong hunter mentality with a demonstrated ability to close deals and bring in new business.
Network: Established relationships within relevant industries that can be leveraged to generate new business.
Languages: Fluency in both Italian and English is essential.
Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Flexibility: Willingness to travel and work in a hybrid format, combining remote work with client visits and office-based collaboration.
