**Job Title**: Business Development Manager
**Location**: Remote with Travel. Can be based anywhere in Europe
**Reporting to**: Managing Director, Football
**Role Overview**:
We are seeking a proactive and strategic-minded Business Development Manager to join our commercial team. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving growth of the Hawk-Eye Football business, identifying and pursuing new opportunities, cultivating relationships with potential clients, and driving significant revenue growth. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a strong sales background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for sports technology.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Lead Generation and Prospecting**:
- Generate leads through various channels, including networking events, industry conferences, and online research, as well as an established personal network.
- Qualify leads and prioritise opportunities based on potential value and alignment with company objectives.
**Client Engagement and Relationship Building**:
- Initiate contact with prospective clients, understanding their needs, and presenting relevant solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external key stakeholders, including decision-makers and influencers.
**Pipeline Management and Reporting**:
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline, tracking opportunities from initial contact to closure.
- Provide regular updates on business development activities, progress, and forecasts to management.
- Enter and track opportunities in the CRM.
**Market Analysis**:
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients, market trends, and growth opportunities to create leads from.
- Analyse industry developments to inform business development strategies.
- Understand the competitive landscape in which Hawk-Eye operates in order to exploit opportunities.
**Proposal Development and Presentation**:
- Alongside Commercial Managers, prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches to prospective clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams (i.e. Product, and Operations) to develop customised solutions that meet client requirements.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
Essential:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in business development or sales roles, preferably in the sports technology or related industry.
- Well developed business network/relationships
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
- Results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with the sports industry, especially football.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
