Job Summary The Regional Sales Manager will have the opportunity to make a significant impact and drive incremental growth for our Environmental & Process Monitoring business in South- and East Europe.
The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with direct and indirect customers to create and maintain a healthy pipeline of sales opportunities, developing and maintaining Go-To-Market plans for the region, understanding major competitors, and being creative in finding ways to close deals.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 per year Location: Italy (preferred), Spain, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic or Poland Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with direct and indirect customers to create and maintain a healthy pipeline of sales opportunities.
Develop and maintain Go-To-Market plans for the region in close collaboration with the local Channel Manager.
Understand the strengths and vulnerabilities of major competitors and develop sales strategies to respond effectively.
Be creative in finding ways to close deals based on a 'must-win' mentality.
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree, advanced degrees preferred.
5+ years of sales experience with a documented track record of success.
2+ years of experience as an indirect people and/or distribution manager.
Must have sold capital pieces of equipment.
Ability to travel 50%+ across the assigned territory.
Strong technical knowledge of the chemical and/or environmental industry and experience selling in those markets.
Self-starter and able to work on your own.
Ability to prospect new business and have that 'hunter' attitude.
Strong communication skills – orally and written in English.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
