Based in Milan, Italy, you will play a critical role in driving growth and building strong relationships with clients across multiple industries.
Key Responsibilities: Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Identify, target, and acquire new clients, while maintaining and growing relationships with existing accounts.
Sales Strategy Development: Craft and execute sales strategies that focus on both air and ocean freight services, with a special focus on customised logistics solutions for mid-sized businesses.
Market Expansion: Analyse the market for new business opportunities and geographic expansion, particularly in Europe and international trade lanes.
Negotiation & Contract Management: Lead negotiations with clients to secure contracts, ensuring favourable terms and profitability for the company.
Revenue Growth: Develop and meet sales targets, contributing to the overall growth and profitability of the company.
Industry Engagement: Stay current with industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes in air and ocean freight forwarding to position the company for success.
Desired Skills and Qualifications: Freight Forwarding Expertise: A minimum of 5 year's experience in air and ocean freight forwarding, with a proven track record of success in business development roles.
Commercial Acumen: Strong ability to create value propositions for clients, leveraging your knowledge of global supply chains and freight forwarding solutions.
Strategic Sales Focus: Demonstrated success in driving new business, managing key accounts, and growing sales in competitive markets.
Negotiation Skills: Experience in complex negotiations, with the ability to achieve favourable outcomes for both the client and the company.
International Trade Knowledge: Solid understanding of international shipping regulations, logistics processes, and customs compliance.
