**About the role**:
The role will contribute to the growth and implementation of the Sales and Marketing plans in the Chemical, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas and Power Generation industries in Italy, Spain and Portugal.
In this role you will be responsible to:
- Identify and acquire actively new customers, qualify, prioritize accounts and opportunities to produce the best sales results and profitability.
- Identify, evaluate, appoint and onboard distribution partners.
- Open, develop and retain relationships with clients in our target segments in the region which are active in the industry, in particular oil and gas, chemical, petrochemical and power generation.
- Manage distribution partners by setting clear objectives and action plans in combination with regular reviews and support.
- Set comprehensive sales strategies based on turnaround activities and of targeted companies
- Actively acquire new customers, perform on-site demos, build relationships on all levels, achieve sales and follow-up in after sales, including product trainings to customers
- Maintain a high awareness of gas leak detection market trends and the competition, their strengths, weaknesses, sales and marketing methods & shares this information with internal stakeholders.
- Plan, organize and implement marketing actions, participate on Exhibitions and Conferences
- Collaborate with a multi-functional team based at the Swiss headquarter in Zurich
- Responsible for data accuracy, CRM, activity reports, proposals and shipping instruction
**Your profile**:
- General Engineering or Chemistry background - further education and experience in Sales and Marketing is a plus
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar position in a SMB selling CAPEX, and possibly NDT (non-destructive testing devices)
- Desire to grow professionally within a global team
- Experience in either Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, Chemistry, Power Generation, Construction, Machinery, Steel, or Shipping industry
- Ability to work autonomously
- Good computer skills and experience working with a CRM
- Fluent in English, Italian, Spanish (verbal and writing)
- Located in North Italy, ideally around Milan or Bergamo, or in Switzerland around Zurich.
- Willingness to travel on business (60%)
