This initiative promotes science-driven agricultural practices to facilitate the transition to regenerative agriculture and the restoration of degraded land into productive woody perenial crops and agroforestry systems.
Our state-of-the-art dMRV technology integrates life cycle assessment (LCA), satellite imaging, advanced modelling and machine learning to accurately measure and monitor carbon sequestration achieved through our initiatives.In alignment with our growth and recent carbon project listing, Alberami is actively seeking a dynamic and motivated Business Development Executive with extensive expertise and a strong network in the Carbon Credits sector.
This role presents a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing startup with a bold mission to sequester over 45m tCO2e through regenerative agriculture and agroforestry.As a Business Development Executive at Alberami, you will play a pivotal role in our journey, leading our sales efforts and driving growth.

They should also have a proven track record in business development and a drive to build lasting partnerships that benefit people, nature, and climate.What You'll Be Doing:As a Business Development Executive in Carbon Credits, you will:Become a Subject Matter Expert: Develop in-depth knowledge of our project, its specific context, Alberami's offerings, and the extensive benefits of regenerative agriculture.Demonstrate Value: Enthusiastically present the advantages of Alberami's projects within the framework of companies' decarbonisation strategies.Drive Conversations: Independently initiate meaningful discussions and build trust with potential customers, including C-level stakeholders.Develop Sales Strategies: Craft and implement effective sales strategies targeting mid-sized companies and enterprises.Explore New Opportunities: Identify and pursue new business avenues, and initiate strategic alliances.Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with marketing and executive teams to enhance lead generation and conversion strategies.Evaluate Projects: Collaborate cross-functionally to assess project attributes and ensure strategic and technical alignment.Monitor Industry Trends: Stay informed about trends in Carbon Credits and competitor strategies to make informed, impactful decisions.Ideal CandidateIndustry Expertise: At least 3 years of experience in the Carbon Credit industry with an established network.Technical Translation: Proven ability to translate complex technical issues into compelling business benefits.Client Management: Exceptional skills in managing client relationships, working across various organizational levels to assess needs, identify process gaps, and recommend solutions and automation opportunities.Sales Experience: Minimum of 3 years of verifiable top-tier sales experience with a proven track record of scaling sales and securing substantial contracts.Communication Skills: Stellar communication abilities with proficiency in negotiating and building lasting relationships.Tech-Savvy: A tech-forward perspective with familiarity in the latest digital sales methodologies.Ambition and Drive: High ambition and a target-driven mindset, thriving in the dynamic environment of startup culture.Language Skills: Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages, particularly Italian, is a significant advantage.Location and CompensationThe role offers flexibility to be based either in our Ostuni (Italy) office or remotely.
Please note that the position is commission-based, providing the opportunity to earn based on performance.
