We are looking for a Business Controller manager to take responsibility for leading the business controlling and finance functions of the Italy and Balkans territory.
In this position you will ensure timely and accurate reporting of the consolidated actual performance, forecasts, and targets.
You will be member of the territory management team and support the territory management and other stakeholders at sales area SEMEC and divisions with analysis, advise and tools to optimize performance in Italy & Balkans territory.
This position will report to the Director Business Control for Sales Area South Europe,Middle East and CIS and be based in Milan, Italy.
**Responsibilities**:
Your key responsibilities will include the following:
- Follow up, analysis and clear explanations and comments regarding actual results, forecasts and targets.
- Monitor and analyze sales and profitability results and report to territory management team
- Be proactive in operational and profitability improvement opportunities within the territory
- Be responsible of budgeting and forecasting processes for the territory
- Preparation and validation of business cases and investment proposals.
- Drive improvements in both reporting and forecasting accuracy by working together with Territory Manager, HR and Business line managers.
- Support performance management process, including KPI development and implementation.
- Drive Net Working Capital efficiency and overall business performance.
- Provide tools for a standardized way of working within business control.
- Ensure timely and accurate finance reporting and consolidation, global compliance with accounting standards and guidelines.
- Drive treasury activities including cash planning, credit control, cash collection.
- Provide administration support of Finance IT tools in day to day operations and as Finance representative for future developments.
- Implement risk management activities including internal controls, enterprise risk management, crisis management.
Your skills and qualifications
You ensure adherence to the Sandvik Way and established policies and procedures within your area of responsibility.
You have a strong eye for detail.
You are a confident, analytical, and strategic management professional who possesses a proven ability to drive continuous improvement and deliver results.
You possess at least 5 years' experience in finance and business control and a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar managerial position and a strong commercial background.
Exceptional communication skills and proficiency in both Italy and English both verbal and written are prerequisites for this role.
You can convey information clearly and concisely especially to non-financial people.
You have the ability to listen to others and to respond to questions or concerns in a way that is helpful.

You are also experienced working with financial IT systems and possess advance knowledge of Microsoft Office and reporting tools such as PowerBI or Tableau.
A University Degree in either accounting, finance or business administration are preferred.
