As the Business Controller for the Italian Market, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial management and compliance of our operations in Italy.
Reporting directly to the CFO for Southern Europe Hub, you will lead Financial Controlling, providing strategic financial guidance and operational support to drive business success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee the financial planning and budgeting processes, ensuring alignment with company objectives and regulatory requirements.- Collaborate with the CFO of Southern Hub and other key stakeholders to develop and implement financial strategies that support business growth and profitability.- Oversee forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis, providing insights and recommendations to optimize performance.- Serve as a strategic business partner to the Leadership Team, offering financial expertise and guidance to inform decision-making and drive operational excellence.- Collaborate very closely with Accounting Managers and with cross-functional teams to drive financial discipline and efficiency.- In coordination with the Accounting Managers, accomplish the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliation and analysis of financial data.- Manage, engage, and lead the IBP team working for the markets.- Collaborate with the finance community of the Hub, the region and in case GCC, providing mentorship and guidance to other team members when needed.- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, conducting regular audits and assessments as necessary.- Monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.- Demonstrate the ability to deep dive into financial details while maintaining a holistic view of the overall financial landscape.- Drive process improvements and efficiency initiatives to streamline financial operations and enhance overall effectiveness.- Serve as a role model and leader within the finance team and the organization, fostering a collaborative and team-oriented work environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or professional finance qualification is preferred.- Proven experience in a similar finance management role, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.- Strategic mindset, with the ability to think analytically and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting- Business partnering, strategic financial advice, and hands-on to get into the details if
