DescriptionHere at The Exploration Company we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refueled in orbit, and which carries cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.
We want you as a talented Bid and Contract Senior Manager to help us in our mission by taking ensuring our product strategy is reflected in our Agreements with Vendors and Subcontractors.
Key ResponsibilitiesIn your capacity as a Bid & Contract Senior Procurement Manager, your role will be continuously evolving, but day to day your duties will include:
Taking ownership of all buy-side document templates, including Terms and Conditions, Subcontracts and RFx lettersOwning & Executing the Source to Contract process, including:Bid phase (Rfx)Down selectionContract negotiation and awardContract execution (shared responsibility with Supply Chain Operations)Support other team members in running this processManaging the Subcontractors/Consortia in special bids and projectsImplement an efficient Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tool and the related process What we would love to see from youQualifications / Background Master's degree in business administration, Industrial Engineering or Business Law (or Bachelor's degree + equivalent work experience)At least 3 years' work experience in a role working with complex contracts with related to a technical product (Sales / bid management and Procurement / commodity management both qualify)Proven track record of working in a complex technical environment where new technologies are developedAny legal expertise with a focus on EU commercial law would be a big plusSkills and Behaviours Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with colleagues from technical disciplines / functionsManage a high workload autonomously by prioritising urgent items and informing stakeholders proactively when something is late or at riskDriven to sign and execute contracts, focusing on the key business risks without getting lost in legal detailsFluency in German, French or Italian are all a Plus Why you should join usWhat makes us special here at The Exploration Company and why we think you will enjoy working here is:
