Working closely with the Global Beverage Director, the Beverage Manager is responsible for creating, developing, and implementing the Beverage product on board MSC vessels. In order to achieve the highest results in terms of passengers' satisfaction and on-board revenue, the job holder analyses all relevant results, proposing new strategies and continuous improvement.
Organisational Context: The F&B Operation Department includes several units where the yearly product and strategy are designed, coordinated with other areas of the business, communicated to the personnel on board for execution and verified by F&B Operations Managers. The main units are the following:
The key management objectives are: Enhance overall on-board revenueACCOUNTABILITIES In line with the Company guidelines, creates the Beverage product offered on board the fleet, develops operation manuals/instructions and related promotional activities, ensuring established quality and cost/revenue standards.Verifies Beverage costs and carries out a benchmark of the Beverage product providing feedback.Liaises with other areas of the business to align common actions and goals in order to provide excellence of service to our customers and to achieve Beverage targets.QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS Strong experience in the cruise/tourism industry, preferably in a multinational environment.Strong background in the bar/beverage field working with diverse teams.Good inter-personal and communication skills.Experience in managing Beverage personnel.Strong leadership and influencing skills to challenge and support collaborators.Analytical skills to analyze and read complex data.Good knowledge of common applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)Capability to adapt to using different operating systems and business programs (Crunchtime, MMS, OIM, Calcmenu, Otalio, etc.)Fluent English. Second language required.
