Key ResponsibilitiesDesign battery pack system architecture, leading the technical development of battery projects.Calculation/design of electrical and mechanical HV switch-off devices, HV conductors (including HV connection technology), BusBar.Sub-component fusing strategy.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements, specifications, and performance targets.Design and develop battery systems or sub-systems, ensuring functional, safe, and compliant solutions.Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate technologies, materials, and components for battery systems.Collaborate with suppliers and partners to select and qualify battery components and subsystems.Create technical documentation, reports, and presentations to communicate project progress.Key Qualifications/RequirementsTechnical education in Electric/Electronic Engineering or similar.Minimum 2-3 years as a System/Architect Engineer within the automotive industry; previous experience in HV battery development is a strong plus.Understanding of circuit design (both digital and analog), embedded circuits (SoCs, etc.) and power electronics.Experience in vehicle wiring and harnessing.Understanding of Systems/Requirement Engineering & Tools (e.g. IBM DOORS, MicroFocus ALM).Experience in 3D CAD (CATIA V5 and/or Siemens NX) is a plus.Communicative, team-oriented, and assertive personality.Vehicle development process knowledge.Fluent in Italian and very good English knowledge.Availability for occasional business trips.EU citizenship or Full-time Working Permit required.Additional InformationEmbrace a new challenging opportunity to be involved in a new team connected worldwide.A unique corporate culture characterized by collegiality and team spirit.Long-term perspectives in an international company.An interesting and varied field of activity.Extensive and well-structured training.Home office options.Profit participation in the Company's success.At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
