Kimpton Grand Cayman is offering: - A very competitive salary package - Flight allowance of up to USD $1500 - Complimentary meals during workdays - Generous overtime pay at x1.5 of your hourly rate for any work beyond 9 hours/day or 45 hours/week . - Global Discounts at IHG brands - Comprehensive Medical Insurance - 2 weeks paid vacation If you're a bright and dynamic individual, don't hesitate to apply and get the chance to become part of our exceptional crew in the Cayman Islands! ------------ RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: - Coordinate meeting spaces for banquet and catering events to ensure compliance with banquet event orders (BEO) with level of service, quality and hospitality. - Work with kitchen staff on the timing of food preparation to ensure that meals are ready on time in accordance with the event order. - Adhere and ensure that the required sanitation procedures are met for food handling safety. - Assist with scheduling of employees. - Complete guest checks with accuracy, and provide outstanding guest services! - Ability and willingness to follow established processes and procedures. - Act as an advocate for your property, be a creator of ridiculously personal experiences and develop relationships with guests that will compel them to return! - Lead all aspects of banquet operations and manage all floor staff. - Work cooperatively with chefs and cooks. - Promote a multifaceted and team work driven environment. - Ensure guests are served in an expedient and friendly manner. What You Bring: - 2+ years of experience as a banquet captain or senior server is required. Hotel banquet experience is a plus. - Knowledge of computer systems such as Excel, Word, and POS. - Outstanding organisational abilities and skill for taking initiative, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and prioritising. - Passionate about food and providing an outstanding guest experience! - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Food Handler Certificate (if applicable). - Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
