Hitachi Energy is seeking a skilled B2B Event Planner & Manager for its Grid Integration business, the innovation and market leader in grid integration technologies which enable the integration of renewables at scale required to help accelerate the transition towards a sustainable energy future.
The ideal candidate will take the lead in coordinating Grid Integration's s largest annual events. We are looking for a creative, organized, forward-thinking person, who has experience in planning and executing logistics for tradeshows, conferences, seminars, proprietary and hybrid events.
An event manager is, above all, a project manager who understands marketing and promotion techniques. Through events that effectively communicate our value proposition and brand personality, you will assist our business in amplifying brand awareness, strengthening client relationships, solidifying our thought leadership positioning, and driving market growth.
This position requires close collaboration and alignment with the business product and marketing management communications team, as well as the corporate marketing team and local sales organizations to execute marketing activities and events that drive sales and increase market share.
Your responsibilities: Brainstorm a yearly calendar of events, coordinate the submission of the potential events for approval and creation of an event pipeline from countries, regions, segments and BUProject management of Grid Integration's strategic and flagship eventsPlan events from start to finish according to requirements, target audience and objectives, and deliver on planBrainstorm with a variety of stakeholders and implement event concepts and themesPlan and execute pre-event promotional activities (social media, event apps, multimedia tools, etc.)Managing branding and communicationSourcing and negotiating quotes with vendors and suppliersMonitoring timeframes and budgetsHandling invoices and paymentsResearching and securing venues, handling logistics like shippingEnsure event is completed smoothly and step up to resolve any problems that might occurHandle relations and logistics for senior executives / VIPsAnalyze the event's success and prepare reportsEstablish a blueprint of best practices for events: roles and responsibilities, templates, checklists, reusable assets, etc.Requirements: BSc/BA or equivalent work experience in PR, marketing, hospitality management or related field is preferredAt least 5 years of proven hands-on experience as B2B event managerSkilled in project managementCommunication and marketing skillsOutstanding negotiation abilityExcellent organizational skillsHighly creativeMulti-taskerProblem-solverGood time managementComputer savvy; proficient in MS Office and other softwareBasic familiarity with technology for hybrid events
