Automation Engineer is responsible for the design, installation, and testing of PLC, SCADA, and other process automation systems, ensuring compliance with GMP regulations and relevant engineering standards (e.g., GSK Global Engineering Standard).
You will also support the technical troubleshooting of automation systems.
In this role you… Ensure the operation, maintenance, quality, and compliance of automation and supervision systems in the Parma facility.
Propose and manage projects related to automation systems and/or those planned in the facility's digital roadmap: Manage projects by writing necessary documentation and following change control/validation.
Independently manage budgets, prepare investment plans, and place orders.
Be responsible for archiving technical documentation.
Manage external suppliers.
Review and integrate SOPs related to automation systems.
Provide necessary support and expertise for troubleshooting, Root Cause Analysis, and managing deviations related to automation infrastructure.
Be involved in internal and external inspections regarding automation systems.
Ensure compliance with policies, group guidelines, and local regulations regarding technology standards, cybersecurity, software license management, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Competencies: Bachelor's degree in Electronic / Computer / Mechatronic Engineering.
Previous experience in a similar role.
Basic knowledge of PLC / SCADA.
Basic knowledge of IT/OT networks.
Experience in supplier management.
Excellent teamwork skills.
Results-oriented.
