Description
**PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES**:
- Conduct monitoring and initial audits.
- Manage enforcement issues stemming from certification audits
- Provide a timely response to corrective actions proposed by NSF clients.
- Conduct special visits to investigate product failures and verify the implementation of corrective actions taken by NSF clients.
- Investigate and resolve complaints
- Develop cost effective work plans for the completion of assigned audits.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with program representatives and project managers as it relates to assigned clients
- Monitor and report client needs, service delivery issues, and competitive threats to management team.
- Develop business by responding to inquiries, conducting introductory visits, conducting seminars, and attending conferences in support of NSF's business units (as authorized).
- Support NSF's business units by assisting clients in the identification of additional NSF services that may be beneficial (examples - new products for certification, test only services, quality system registration).
- Perform other duties as requested.

**Qualifications**:
**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental health, related science, or business.
- Two (2) years related industry auditing experience.
- Ability to work independently from remote (home based) location.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively.
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to obtain a profession registration (environmental health, engineering, or related profession).
- Must have a valid driver license and reliable transportation.
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Experience auditing or with quality control.
- A minimum of two (2) years experience working in the public or private sector.
- Work experience as a chemist, microbiologist, or related quality function.
- Professional registration.
- Foreign language skills (English and other languages).
**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**:
- Required frequent overnight travel.
- Required to stand or walk for long periods of time.
- Required to operate a motor vehicle.
- Extensive use of computers and other electronic equipment.
- Medium to heavy physical effort required (ability to carry equipment weighing 25 lbs or less).
- Ability to follow client and regulatory required safety practices.
**WORK ENVIRONMENT**:
- Majority of work takes place in manufacturing or other non-office setting.
- Majority of time spend work independently from a remote location.
