Job DescriptionLocation:Milano, MICondé Nast Italy is looking for an experienced Audience Development Manager to temporarily join the Editorial team of Vogue Italia.
The role will report to the Sr. Director of Audience Development, Analytics, & Social for the Vogue brand, and be responsible for implementing the audience growth and content distribution strategy that extends the reach and amplification of content, particularly across social, SEO, email, partnerships and other multi-platform channels for Vogue Italia.
Sitting alongside editors of Vogue Italia, the person will be in charge of growing audiences – to websites, social, video and newsletters – and ensure they are the 'right' audiences so that consumer and commercial revenue teams can deliver against their targets and ambitions.Please note that this role will join Condé Nast Italy with a fixed-term contract (Maternity Cover) of maximum 12 months.Primary Responsibilities:Work with Sr. Director of Audience Development to develop and implement the Aud Dev & Social strategy for Vogue Italia, adapting it for the market and culture.
The strategy will be multiplatform, including website, social, video, newsletter, and other platforms Work to meet KPIs for Vogue Italia and ensure goals are met throughout the yearWork closely with the social manager to analyse content patterns and find opportunities for new content, formats, cadences etc.
Provide actionable insights to content teams daily, monthly and quarterly so editors understand what's resonating – and what's not resonatingWork closely with Vogue Italia Head of Content and the website director to support strategic content planningGuide story positioning - for social, guiding / writing SEO titles, for other platformsPlan and execute distribution strategies for big stories and tentpole eventsWork with the SEO team to maintain day-to-day SEO best practices in conjunction with the editorial teamsWork with local adaptation team and central Audience Development teams to guide syndication based on performance in other regions/marketsManage the distribution strategy for newsletters, working with the editorial teams to guide daily newsletter content curationMaintain consistent pitching schedule to internal and external partners and monitor performance to inform and tailor future partner pitchesTest, develop, implement and share video viewing experiences, including intentional viewing on O&O channels and off-platformWork with Sr. Director of Audience Development for and global counterparts in Vogue and other Italian brands to share learnings and best practices Collaborate with teams working on consumer revenue initiatives (such as memberships, events, merch, commerce etc.
)Identify new content, platform and marketing opportunities based on emerging digital trends, competitive business intelligence and consumer insightPrimary Skills and Qualifications:5+ years of experience in the media and entertainment industry, digital advertising agency or online marketing, advertising, or publishing organisation, with a thorough understanding of online business models and strategies.
Full professional proficiency in English language Inspirational and effective line management skills Audience development professional, with deep understanding of editorial SEO, social, newsletters, video and other platforms.
A strong understanding of social analytics and trend analysisExperience of working closely with Product, Editorial, Data and Commercial.
Detailed knowledge a major web analytics tools such as Omniture or Google AnalyticsDeep understanding of social media channels, features, functionality and use casesDeep knowledge of SEO impact and best practices Experience with email/newsletter and segmentation strategies Experience in working on audience development strategies for video and audio Ability to clearly articulate and present to editorial colleagues and all levels of managementAbility to navigate a complex and matrixed business Entrepreneurial, digitally savvy, with exceptional analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills Desired Skills and Qualifications:Professional proficiency in a second European languagePrevious experience partnering with Edit, Product, Data and CommercialClear communicator and show sound judgementMore Details About the Role:The role of the global audience development and social team for Vogue Italia is to bring the right audiences to the brand, and ensure engagement and return visits.
This provides a 'top-of-the-funnel' audience for the Global Marketing and Consumer Revenue team, as a goal is to increase reader revenue through subscriptions, commerce, events, and other activities.
The Aud Dev Manager for Vogue Italia is a key role in the process of building and engaging these audiences and provides guidelines to other Vogue teams in Europe when needed, in coordination with the Global Director of Audience Development, Analytics, & Social and the European Editorial Director of Vogue.
