Athonet - Research & Innovation Specialist - Funded Projects
This role has been designated as 'Hybrid' with an expectation that you will work on average 2-3 days per week from an HPE office.
**Who We Are**:
Athonet provides a complete in-house software-based LTE/5G connectivity platform that runs in cloud or virtualized data centre environments and on ruggedized hardware. Our platform allows customers to break free from the restrictive, expensive, proprietary telco-centric architecture of legacy solutions and embrace the true potential of wireless.
**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**
- Participation in collaborative research and innovation projects funded by national or international institutions.
- Project management, administrative and technical reporting.
- Collaboration with colleagues to deliver cellular telecommunication solutions to partners and customers.
- Research and standardization activity in the 5G and 6G domain.
- Research paper writing.
**Education Required**:
- Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Telco or other Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent - PHD would be considered as a plus
- Fluent in English (written & spoken)
**Knowledge and Skill Requirements**
- Technical knowledge of the mobile telecommunications domain.
- Capability of writing project proposals and technical project deliverables.
- Capability to conduct scientific research.
- Knowledge of computer-scientific tools (e.g., programming languages, machine learning or artificial intelligence techniques, or virtual network function orchestration software).
- Typically 3-5 years experience
