Position Summary InformationJob Description Summary: The Villanova Athletic Fund (VAF) Graduate Intern will provide administrative, technical, and general office support to the Office of University Advancement/Villanova Athletic Fund. This position will also be responsible for supporting event operations for the VAF, including sport-specific advancement events (special events, receptions, golf outings, etc.). Other tasks associated with the VAF will be assigned such as assisting with annual fund strategies, assisting with communications strategies, and assisting with data-related (i.e., Nova Points, event invite lists, etc.) and social media/graphic design projects.
40% Performs administrative, technical, and general office support to the functional areas of the VAF located in Riley Hall, including but not limited to, event, communications, annual fund, and data operations. Will use Cognos, Salesforce, and other University Advancement platforms to support the department staff in various activities.40% Under the supervision of the Assistant Director, will perform tasks related to VAF events (athletic contests, special events, receptions, golf outings, etc.). This position includes nights and weekends.15% Work in conjunction with other VAF staff members in assuming responsibilities for the development, administration, and promotion of specific projects, as required.5% Perform additional duties and assist with special projects as assigned.RequirementsFormal Education: Must be enrolled in a Villanova Master's program.Specific Job Knowledge:Advanced organizational and time management skillsAbility to set priorities for self and manage own time, effort, and activitiesAbility to participate as an active team memberWork Skills: Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Must be a problem solver and capable of finding solutions with little oversight. Ability to work with and discuss confidential matters.Equipment Knowledge: Knowledge of Banner, MS Excel, Cognos, Salesforce, and other office technology preferred.Working Conditions/Environment:Tools, machinery, and equipment used: General office equipment, heavy items (i.e., tables).Environmental conditions: General office environment.Physical requirements: General use of office equipment.Position includes nights and weekends.
