ATC System Design Engineer for signaling systems will be in charge of:
Identifying and analyzing the input documentation and Customer requirements.Identifying and analyzing the requirements (contractual and technical system requirements).Defining the functions, the architecture, and the interfaces of the signaling system being the transportation standard in Italy and all over Europe.Designing the system and its configuration, developing the relevant documentation.Interfacing with the Customer and the other partners.Participating in meetings with other Alstom teams in Italy and worldwide.Applying processes, methods & tools in accordance with Alstom standards.Supporting the deployment of system Generic Application versus Specific Application project teams in charge of project execution.Carrying out design testing of the system until its delivery to the Verification and Validation team.Supporting laboratory tests and on-site activities.Contributing to improving the sustainable and innovative transportation standard of the future.Required skills: Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably telecommunications, electronics, and mobility. Master's degree will be a plus.Graduate or preferably 2 years' experience.Goal-oriented, problem-solving, team working approach.Flexibility and troubleshooting skills.Basics of networks and communication protocols.Interest to learn continuously, to improve technical and behavioral skills in a dynamic environment.Previous experience and background in railway, metro signaling business, or in a complex and regulatory asset environment (railway, aerospace, defense) would be a plus and a major asset.Location: Bologna, Rome, or Bari site.
