The Associate Scientist in Early Development is expected to execute scientific studies in support of technical programs as they progress from early development into Phase I/II and Phase III. The appointee will work in the Early Development and In-process Analytics (ED&IPA) team, within the Drug Substance - Technical R&D unit.
In this role YOU will..Build early-on the processes, tools, knowledge and engagement with the global Drug Substance organization (and other functional areas in TRD) to enable effortless phase I product and process development in line with the expectations of the business;Collaborate seamlessly with Discovery & Preclinical R&D teams to support antigen design and selection, to perform developability and manufacturability assessment for preclinical antigen candidates, enabling end-to-end Quality-by-Design and preparing for stage gate transitions.Why YOU?Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
Scientific degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field.Previous industry or laboratory experience.Understanding of molecular biology, gene expression and microbiology.Hands-on experience with microbial cell culture/fermentation and protein purification.Ability to apply sound scientific methodology and problem-solving skills.Fluent spoken/written English.Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
