We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Associate Marketing Manager that is passionate about running to drive this mission forward with us.
JOB MISSION To develop and execute New Balance's running program alongside our key trade partners and run clubs for the Italian region.
Be the go to person for running, one that establishes relationships and continues to build our running club portfolio.Ensuring the brand meets its commercial objectives and builds a consumer first journey across all areas of the running business.
Reporting to the Marketing Lead for Italy, this role will be responsible for aligning closely with the central EMEA team, this role will play a crucial role to bring the global running marketing plans to life for the Italy market.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES: Lead the implementation and activation of the Global/regional Running marketing strategy and work closely with the regional teams to align on the strategy and focus on key opportunities and requirements for the Italy region through the Running playbook.
Lead and develop the New Balance approach in Italy to running events, activations & community, ensuring brand consistency and authentic NB experiences at brand and trade level.
Develop running toolkits that will enable both trade, events, and community to execute to the highest standards.
Build and develop NB's run club portfolio through engaging and maintaining run club relationships through seeding, retailer partnerships, activations, local community initiatives and key regional events.
To support on the planning and lead delivery of marketing activations in-line with key cultural moments/strategically important events, across the year as required, developing trade opportunities and partnerships – acting as the central function across our Running Marketing strategy.
Support the running wholesale Trade Marketing and Tech Rep team to deliver concepts that engage with run specialty retailers & key accounts through product testing, focus product launches and promotional activations.
Plan and execute the running calendar and oversee brand events in Italy (product launch events, football events etc.).
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS: 3-5 years of practical marketing experience, leading local marketing, or trade marketing strategy and/or execution Passion and interest in running, with a deep understanding of the running market and running consumer in Italy.
Experience of agency management and content-led-channels across social, PR, influencer and creative Knowledge of the Italian Wholesale Landscape in running footwear Marketing and/or Trade Marketing activations experience Experience in project management including budget-management and reporting, with a solid knowledge of excel and powerpoint.
Great communication skills and working knowledge of English.
Ability to work with multiple stakeholders within the Italy team and EMEA team.
Proactive, enthusiastic approach and ability to multitask.
Willingness to travel for work and to work weekends/evenings if needed.
