Job title: Associate Manager, Logistics Transportation Location: Arese About the role: This role has responsibility for Primary Transportation within AMET (Africa, Middle East Turkey), reporting to Logistics Manager AMET.
In this position, you will be leading the regional Primary Freight Team to deliver excellence in customer service at the right cost, right time, and right place.Responsibilities: Deliver FG within R6 from manufacturing to RDC's (R6 = Right Product, Quantity, Quality, Time, Place, Cost)Manage the relationship with SCJ Control Towers to deliver excellence in customer serviceManage two consolidation warehouses in Netherlands from cost and service perspective (Raw Materials, Components Finished Goods)Supervise SCJ Control Towers and internal operations process execution to meet service level KPIs in full compliance with all relevant SCJ standardsDevelop strategic partnerships with key Primary Freight Transport Service ProvidersEnsure all transport operations are operated in full compliance with all relevant SCJ and country legal standards regarding security, health, safety, environmental, DG transport, import/export regulations.Provide deep understanding of country and regional market conditions, and business requirements to drive agility and efficiency in Primary FreightProvide analysis, insight, and predictive measures of regional Primary FreightDrive network improvement opportunitiesDeliver Primary Freight budgetApply Lean principles to deliver Cost Savings through sustainable continuous improvementDeliver Cost to Serve optimizationPartner with Regional Procurement to develop the yearly Primary Freight go-to-market strategy and lead tender execution (both ocean road)Lead, coach, and develop a team of 5 Analysts and Sr. Analysts in Transportation and LogisticsDevelop deep functional and sustainable capabilities in transportationPartner with Supply Planning and Logistics Operations to optimize customer service and cost within the regionExperience you will bring: Bachelor's degree or greater – preferably in an engineering or supply chain disciplineMinimum 3/4 years' experience in transportation, warehouse operations, or LSP managementExperience with freight bidding tools is a competitive advantageDemonstrated people leadership experienceStrong analytic and problem-solving skills: the ability to powerfully portray data and leverage it to drive continuous improvementStrong project management skillsBehaviours you will need: Ability to drive action and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization achieving win-win solutions through negotiationStrong organizational skills, as well as the ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple prioritiesThe ability to build business partnerships and external collaboration opportunitiesYou need to be eligible to work in the country of application.
