They must be able to prioritize, multi-task, and respond effectively under demanding deadlines.
The candidate must be able to communicate well and maintain a high level of coordination across Marketing and Communications units as well as with other offices including Information Technology.
This position would be responsible for managing updates and flow of content on the University's Website, as well as maintaining its uptime with external vendors.
The Associate Director would also be responsible for production control and assist with ongoing web-based marketing initiatives such as inbound marketing.
Responsibilities would also include managing and mentoring a team of digital communications assistants.
Responsibilities: Manage the day-to-day activities for the University website, with a specific focus on leading the development of the site.
Lead a team of digital communications assistants by assigning jobs, managing schedules, and reviewing work.
Provide training and support to the team.
Serve as the primary contact for Drupal CMS and Acquia host, testing and scheduling updates and resolving site outage issues.
Serve as Marketing and Communications lead for digital projects between this office and Information Technology and external vendors, assigning tasks, meeting deadlines, troubleshooting, and resolving issues.
Collaborate with Marketing and Communications staff to create high-quality content.
Proactively scope and present new ideas to improve website user experience.
Utilize Google Analytics data and Google Tag Manager to run reports, provide insights, and make recommendations to refine digital marketing initiatives.
Manage requests from IT for HTML/CSS updates.
Interface with academic and administrative clients to identify digital needs and build marketing automation strategies.
Create editable/fillable forms.
Manage, expand, post, and schedule the University's network and content on digital signage, testing the viability of new functions.
Resolve any issues with Extensis Portfolio, the University photo database.
Research and review emerging technologies, services, and products to enhance user experience.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in marketing, business or related field.
Advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years professional experience in front-end web development positions.
Strong project management skills and outstanding attention to detail.
High level of competency with Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Acrobat, and Project Management software.
In-depth knowledge of HTML and CSS.
PHP, JQuery, and Quadrangle experience a plus.
Experience managing Google Analytics (GA4) as well as producing recommendations based on data.
Expertise using the web to attract leads using SEO, SEM, and overall Internet marketing.
Thorough knowledge of search ranking, optimization factors, and key algorithm updates.
Organized multi-tasker with ability to prioritize and deliver under tight deadlines.
Excellent writing and editing skills.
Work Environment: This position operates in a professional office environment; this position is required to use standard office equipment such as personal computers, VPN, Wifi.
Physical Demands: The employee must be able to cover events on the website with real-time updates which includes nights and weekends.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Hybrid; Monday through Thursday from 8:30am-4:30pm and Friday from 8:30am-3pm.
Nights and weekends expected for priority events.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual salary range for this position is $87,000 - $104,800.
