Position Summary This is a full time position reporting to the Site Director of NYU Florence with additional reporting to the Associate Vice President, Global Programs Administration, in New York. The role supports the Site Director on strategic long term planning for NYU Florence, and as part of the role also holds the title of Executive Director for La Pietra s.r.l. In essence, this position would be akin to a Chief Operating Officer. This position oversees all non-academic operations, including student life, finance and budget planning, human resources, IT, space management, grounds and facilities. The Associate Director also supports academic program and conference planning for NYU Florence. This position is responsible for overseeing NYU Florence's response to crisis. Liaising closely with relevant colleagues at NYU in New York, Shanghai and Abu Dhabi, and at the other global sites and programs, the Associate Director is a member of the NYUF Senior Management team and can step in for the Site Director at her/his/their request. Be available in cases of an emergency (24 hours).
Qualifications Required Education Master's Degree or equivalent work experience
Required Experience 10 years of related experience (Finance, HR, Facilities management, etc.) at an Italian institution
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to manage a team of 39+ full time administrators and 90+ part time lecturers, work in a collaborative environment, exhibit strong leadership skills, strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills Fluent in both English and Italian (written and oral) Knowledge of Italian employment and property rules and laws.
Preferred Education Master's degree or higher preferable in business
