**Job responsibilities**
- Covering general law, contracts, support business legal, legal advice, employment law, global compliance adjusted to the local law,
- Provides practical legal advice on legal matters, including employment law
- Monitors changes in laws and regulations in the EMEA region to ensure Company adaptation and compliance
- Supports country-level legal activities
- Contributes to the drafting of Company policies, procedures and processes
- Manages external counsel in accordance with outside counsel guidelines, within specified budgetary limits, and in line with business and legal management's expectations
- Works collaboratively across the Office of the General Counsel, including the Company's global team of regional-based attorneys, to build consensus on process improvements and drive corporate legal projects to completion
- Supports the Syneos Health 'Mission, Vision and Values'
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned
**Qualifications**
**What we're looking for**
- JD/LLM/LLB or an equivalent Degree from an accredited University
- Licensed /Qualified lawyer/ admitted to practice law in EU
- In-house transactional experience with/supporting procurement/vendor organization or an equivalent function
- In-house experience with a global/multinational company, with the ability to interact, engage, collaborate and coordinate end to end contracting activities with US based colleagues.
- Solid understanding of common outsourcing contracts and issues and fundamental contracting principles.
Basic understanding of Intellectual property principles and data privacy matters.
- Demonstrated experience in contract drafting and negotiation, risk identification, issue escalation and contracting best practices
- Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated experience to collaborate with colleagues and take a business-oriented approach while identifying and balancing risks and providing succinct, accurate and pragmatic advice.
- Exceptional analytical skills, independent judgment, a desire to learn, and an ability to take on and prioritize a wide variety of complex matters.
- Can-do attitude, able to work under pressure, manage tight deadlines and a high volume of contracts
