As Associate Clinical Research Monitor you would be responsible for the oversight of clinical research conducted at investigational sites to ensure compliance with study protocols, applicable regulatory standards, Ethics Committee/Institutional Review Board (IRB/EC) policies as well as procedures and business policies. This position works under supervision as needed, with a lot of flexibility for personal development. You would work closely with study management teams within Medtronic and site personnel for resolution of site issues towards successful clinical studies execution.
**A Day in the Life**
- Monitoring of studies, on-site or remotely, to ensure they are conducted according to applicable procedures, good clinical practices (GCP) and regulatory requirements.
- Training hospital clinical researchers in conducting clinical trials
- Collaboration with researchers and hospital facilities to initiate and accelerate the progress of clinical studies on experimental or already marketed medical devices.
- Close collaboration with international study management teams within Medtronic for the smooth running of studies.
- Review of adverse events with investigators, preparation of study documents and monitoring reports.
- Participation in the selection of centers and recommendation of qualified researchers.
- Potential assistance in designing the study monitoring plan and its follow-up.
**Must Have**
- Higher scientific degree in clinical research, engineering, or biology.
- Fluent Italian and English, spoken and written.
- Good interpersonal skills, comfortable working in a team.
- Clear and effective written and oral communication.
- Attention to detail, rigor.
- Proactivity, ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to identify priorities and manage deadline requirements on several projects in parallel.
**Nice to Have**
- One to four years of clinical research experience
- Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards (GCP, ISO (International Organization for Standardization), European directive, etc.)
- Experience or knowledge of healthcare, knowledge of medical terminology
- Problem solving skills
