Ca' Foscari is looking for an Assistant Professor of Sociology of Culture and Communication capable of inspiring students to become game-changers in their own fields and to make a genuine difference in the world.  the researcher will ensure at least 90h of curricular and integrative teaching in accordance with the "University Regulations for Self-Certification and Verification of Teaching and Student Service Duties," in the bachelor's and master's degree programs offered by the Department. Expertise is required in the area of sociology of gender and sexuality, inequalities and social movements. The candidate will teach in the following courses: - Gender studies (English) - Social movements studies (English) - Famiglie, generi e generazioni (Italian) Courses may change depending on the teaching plan that is approved yearly by the Department. Research activities :  Research activities should take place in the field of Sociology of Gender and Sexuality, in an intersectional and comparative perspective, thus looking at the intertwining of issues related to gender and sexuality with other areas of the construction of inequalities, such as migration, labor, disability, etc., and with a particular attention to the role of policies and social movements in processes of social transformation, nationally and internationally. This position is at the Department of Philosophy and Cultural Heritage , whose aim is to provide students with the knowledge to develop those interpretive, critical, analytical and communication skills that are necessary to understand and navigate the complexities of life in the 21st century.
