Ca' Foscari is looking for a researcher of Statistics capable of inspiring students to become game-changers in their own fields and to make a genuine difference in the world. Teaching and service to students The researcher will teach in courses related to chemistry for the environment and for cultural heritage, in Italian and in English Research activities will focus on those proposed in the Department of Excellence project, recognized and funded to the Department of Environmental Sciences, Informatics and Statistics. In particular, the new Researcher, with training and experience in chemistry for the environment and for cultural heritage, will contribute to and participate in the creation of an integrated multidisciplinary departmental structure, named "Data Environmental Studies Center" (DESC), contributing to investigate and address chemical-environmental issues related to the ecological transition according to an approach oriented to the quantification of exposure in the context of environmental impact and risk analysis. The goal is to assess whether the estimated risks need appropriate mitigation and management, but also to analyze products and processes according to experimental and modeling approaches of Safe by Design, borrowed from the environmental behavior of substances and materials, as well as to apply modeling, including that using AI, of contamination and environmental impacts due to anthropogenic activities and climate change. The position is at the Department of Environmental Sciences, Informatics and Statistics . The Department is engaged in multidisciplinary research, carried out by brilliant researchers in the fields of environmental systems analysis, management and modelization of environmental and informatic systems, climate studies, complexity, preservation of cultural heritage and sustainability.
